School labels without your child's name on show

Jackets, lunchboxes, water bottles, instruments — school things wander. A free QR label lets whoever finds them message you, instead of broadcasting your child's name to every stranger who picks them up.

What people tag

  • Lunchbox
  • Water bottle
  • Jacket
  • Backpack
  • Instrument case
  • PE kit

How it works

  1. Create a tag. Sign in with your email — no password — and you get a unique code with a printable label, free.
  2. Label the wanderers. Print a sheet of small labels and cover each with clear tape (or laminate) so they survive lunch and laundry. One code per child, or one per item — your choice.
  3. A finder messages you. A teacher or another parent scans the label or types the code and sends you a message. You reply and agree where it'll be — the school office, the next drop-off.

Your details stay private

Messages travel through ifyoufind.me, not directly between you and the finder, so your email address and phone number are never shared — and you never see theirs unless they choose to share a way to reach them. A visible name lets any stranger call your child by name. A code gives a finder a way to reach you — and gives away nothing at all.

Common questions

Is this a tracker for my child's things? No. It doesn't track your child or their belongings — no GPS, nothing electronic. It's a printed label a finder can use to message you.

Will other parents know whose it is? The label itself shows only a code, and your account details are never shown. A finder sees the note you wrote — so it stays anonymous unless you choose to name someone in it.

Do labels survive washing and lunchboxes? Paper labels under clear tape or a laminate sleeve hold up well — and when one finally gives out, print another for free.

What does it cost? Personal use is free: you get an allowance of codes that grows over time, and you're never charged for going over it.

Reachable when it matters. Anonymous the rest of the time.
