How it works
- Create a tag. Sign in with your email — no password — and generate a code. Print it as a QR sticker or label, or write it on a tag yourself.
- Put it on your things. One code per item, each with its own private label and its own note to the finder, managed from one dashboard.
- Get connected. A finder scans or types the code and sends you a message. You're notified, you reply, and you arrange the return — all through the site.
Your details stay private
Messages travel through ifyoufind.me, not directly between you and the finder, so your email address and phone number are never shared — and you never see theirs unless they choose to share a way to reach them. That's the entire idea: a tag that makes you reachable without making you identifiable.

Good to know
- Free for personal use. An allowance of codes that starts at ten and grows the longer you've had your account — and you're never charged for going over it.
- Not a tracker. No GPS, no Bluetooth, no location pings. Your things come back because a decent person found them and could finally reach you.
- No app, on either side. Finders use any web browser; you sign in with a one-time email code. Nobody installs anything.
Common questions
How is this different from writing my phone number on my stuff? A number on a tag is public to whoever holds the item. A code opens a private, relayed conversation instead — you stay reachable without becoming identifiable.
Does the finder need an app or an account? No. They scan the tag or type the code in any web browser and send you a message — that's it.
How long do codes last? Until you disable them. Codes never expire on their own, so a tag printed today still works years from now.
What happens to the messages? Conversations expire after a period of inactivity and are then purged. Your account and your codes stay until you delete them.
