How it works
- Create a tag. Sign in with your email — no password — and you get a unique code with a printable QR label, free.
- Put it on your bag. Print it as a sticker or a tag for the handle, and slip a spare inside the lid, where anyone opening the bag will look.
- Get it back. Whoever finds your bag scans the tag or types the code at ifyoufind.me and sends you a message. You're notified by email, you reply, and together you arrange the return.
Your details stay private
Messages travel through ifyoufind.me, not directly between you and the finder, so your email address and phone number are never shared — and you never see theirs unless they choose to share a way to reach them. That matters on a tag that travels: a classic paper luggage tag shows your name and address to everyone at the carousel; this one shows only a code.

Good to know
- It speaks the finder's language. The finder's pages are available in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Chinese — helpful when your bag turns up far from home.
- Nothing to charge. It's a printed code, not electronics: no battery, no Bluetooth, no app. Any phone with a web browser works.
- The code can simply be typed. If the QR won't scan — a scuffed sticker, an older phone — the finder just types the short code at ifyoufind.me.
Common questions
Does the finder need an app or an account? No. They scan the tag or type the code in any web browser and send you a message — that's it.
Is this a GPS tracker? No. Nothing reports your bag's location. A person finds it, reaches you through the tag, and you arrange the return together.
Do I have to buy a physical tag? No — we don't sell or ship anything. You print the label yourself, or write the short address on any tag you already own.
What does it cost? Personal use is free: you get an allowance of codes that grows over time, and you're never charged for going over it.
